Ellen Hobgood

Ellen Hobgood is a gallery owner and professional artist. She lives in Heber Springs, Arkansas where she teaches art classes to children and adults. She is mainly a self-taught artist but did spend several years working with a mentor before focusing on local murals. Her career was boosted by being a featured artist three times for Arkansas Children’s Hospital. Her signature works are one-of-a-kind, classic Santa Claus paintings and hand-painted Christmas ornaments which have been purchased all over the world. Ellen is also well known for painting stunning lake sunsets, landscapes, and unique wildlife using beautiful layers of colors.  Her skill in using a variety of color palettes has placed her work in a position of distinction.
